[Runyour Guide #5] How to use AI for slides and sheets in your daily work

The Runyour team is here.

Creating slides or tables with AI has become quite common. The real key isn't just whether you can create them, but how closely you can get the results to match your actual work requirements.

In Runyour's 'Work' feature, you can go beyond simple chat and document writing to create slide-based materials with AI Slidesand organize data into tables with AI Sheets.

However, for outputs that require structure like slides and sheets, rather than just entering a topic, the more specific you are about length, structure, content, and format, the closer you will get to your desired result.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to use AI Slides and AI Sheets, and share tips on what information to include when making requests.

Watch the video to see the entire process, from structuring materials with AI Slides and creating tables with AI Sheets to refining your prompts for better results.

What you'll learn in the video:

STEP 1. Structuring materials with AI Slides

In 'Work', select AI Slides Select a mode and request the material you want to create.

Rather than just entering a topic, it is better to be a bit more specific about the type of output you need.

For example, try specifying conditions such as the following:

  • Length — “Make it 10 slides long”
  • Structure — “Organize it with a cover, an overview, three key points, and a summary”
  • Content — “Include examples and implications in each section”
  • Design tone — “Use a black background with light-colored text”

Even for the same topic, specifying what content should be included, how many slides it should span, and in what order will save you the time of structuring it yourself from scratch.

After reviewing the generated results, refine them by adding necessary details or editing the phrasing to match your needs, then save the file as a PPTX or PDF.

STEP 2. Organize information into tables with AI Sheets

AI Sheets allows you to organize data into a table format by specifying the necessary items and structure.

For example, if you want to organize AI use cases, you can make a request like this:

  • Count — “Summarize 20 use cases”
  • Column structure — “Divide it into field, case, recommended prompt, and expected effect”
  • Format — “Keep each cell concise and on a single line”

Instead of just asking to “summarize” a table, specifying how many rows you need, how to divide the columns, and how much detail to include in each cell will help you create a more usable result.

For sheets, try saving them in XLSX or PDF format.

STEP 3. To get the results you want, be more specific with your conditions.

For both AI slides and AI sheets, it is important to specify not just what to create, but also the format in which to create it.It is important.

Considering these four points when making a request will make the process much easier.

  • Length — Number of slides, number of table rows
  • Structure — Table of contents, section order, column configuration
  • Content — Essential information or examples to include
  • Format & Tone — Bullet points, sentence length, design style

For example,

“Create a slide deck on AI use cases”

rather than just asking,

“Create a 10-slide deck introducing AI use cases for non-technical professionals. Structure it with a problem statement, use cases, implementation methods, and a summary. Include a key message and a brief example on each slide.”

providing specific requirements like this will get you much closer to the results you want.
